Celina Wilder founded OnFire to revolutionize how people think about their "work lives." She wants to help entrepreneurs, craftspeople, artists, visionaries and tradesmen utilize and be valued for their gifts, talents and passions. Celina was nicknamed "Heal the World" when she was in high school and it’s a name she has grown fond of over time. Celina had many career goals then but the only constant was she wanted to help people! She was very good at math and engineering but didn’t see how that aligned with her passions. However, she was awarded a NASA Women In Science & Engineering (WISE) scholarship which offered her the chance to go to a school she could otherwise not afford. She decided to pursue engineering with the plan of opening her own engineering company. Trying to combine her passion with reality, she decided her business would focus on mentoring underprivileged youth in the math and sciences to help increase their opportunities for the future.
After college, Celina began working for Walt Disney Imagineering. She quickly became aware that moving from an entry level engineering associate to an engineering firm owner was not an easy task. She became very disheartened and after working for one more engineering group, she decided to teach in a struggling school system so she could directly influence the children she hoped to inspire. After two years she left, feeling like the school system was not going to allow her to impact the youth in a way that would drastically change their future. She was even more disheartened, so she decided it was time to pursue her own passions.
Over the years, Celina started successful small businesses of her own and helped grow other businesses. It was through this that she began to understand how important it was for people to pursue their passions, and to work with the gifts and talents they've been given. Celina has extensive knowledge of mathematics, operations and strategic planning. Her engineering background gave her great problem-solving experience which she uses as the foundation when analyzing other businesses. Celina has also worked in sales and marketing for years and developed proven success strategies. She believes that each stop in her career journey gave her skills which were invaluable for helping the small businesses she works with. She attributes her time in management for teaching her the most valuable element of success. She now believes that for any business to thrive, the most important aspect is people development. Developing people to be confident their dreams is Celina’s passion and she gets to live it daily at OnFire.
